A Poem For Time

Tim sleeps with one eye open
With his eye on the prize
Unable to realize the potential
Wide awake to feel nothing
Dreaming to see something
Escape the box
Rest worries under a tree
Remember the glee
Or was it tiresome energy
Falling asleep to wake young
Yellow memories
Save me

This hit home. This is my existence. Powerful poem. I am curious about the influence.
