The sound of a “nothing-but-net” three-pointer, swoosh, that’s game. The reason I love this game, the competitive edge of just being great in the moment. I had always found a thrill in standing behind the line and letting that sucker fly, three points on the board. It was a risky mathematical question I had to answer, 3 is 1 more than 2. The distance will always be greater, yet the shot is to each is own. The player that decides to take the shot behind the three-point line is scoring big, if you think about it, three 3’s is 9, but three 2’s is 6, and 9 is 3 more than 6. So even four 2’s is not more than 9, it makes sense to take that risk and go for the 3.
He is brave and confident, the equation is solved, now he is just showing the work. Stephen Curry has been on fire and his shot of choice is the three. It’s like he can’t miss, the way he takes on a defender and still gets the shot off. Often times he’ll take the shot a couple steps away from the line, incredible player to watch and see him leading his team by setting a tremendous example. Humble, always crediting his efforts as being a team effort.
